ALANOD® ist mit weltweit 500 Mitarbeitern und einem konsolidierten Umsatz von EUR 235 Mio. (2008) einer der technisch führenden und mit Abstand der  größte Produzent von oberflächenveredelten Aluminium- und Kupferbändern.

Die Alanod-Solar® profitiert als 100%ige Tochter der ALANOD von einer mehr als 30-jährigen Erfahrung in der Produktion oberflächenveredelter Aluminium- und Kupferbänder. Dank dieses Know-hows kann sich die Alanod-Solar mit ihren Produkten der umweltfreundlichen solaren Energiegewinnung widmen. 
Auf vier Vakuumbeschichtungsanlagen (PVD) werden selektiv absorbierende oder hochreflektierende Schichtsysteme im air-to-air Prozess hergestellt. Ein bestehendes weltweites Vertriebsnetz gewährleistet gezielte Beratung und Unterstützung vor Ort. Damit bieten wir absolute Nähe zum Markt für den Vertrieb unserer unterschiedlichen Produkte in ihren solaren Anwendungsbereichen. 
Die von Alanod-Solar hergestellten hochselektiven Absorberschichtsysteme (sunselect®, mirotherm® und mirosol®) werden für solarthermische Anwendungen (Flach- und Röhrenkollektoren) eingesetzt. Die hochreflektierenden, witterungsbeständigen Aluminiumbänder (MIRO-SUN®) werden für solarthermische Anwendungen wie z. B. in Parabolrinnensystemen (CSP) oder bei konzentrierender Photovoltaik (CPV) eingesetzt.

Unsere Spitzenprodukte werden heute von Partnerunternehmen auf allen fünf Kontinenten verkauft, verarbeitet und installiert. Alanod-Solar baut den weltweiten Service für den solaren Absorptions- & Reflexionsbereich kontinuierlich weiter aus. 
Zum 31.12.2009 wird die sunselect® Produktion vom Standort Lauenförde nach Ennepetal, dem Stammsitz des Unternehmens, verlegt und somit in den Anlagenpark der Alanod-Solar GmbH & Co. KG  integriert.  
Des weiteren wird in diesen Tagen eine hochmoderne Coil-to-Coil Lackieranlage in einer eigens dafür errichteten Produktionshalle in Betrieb genommen. Die Lackieranlage hat eine Kapazität von ca. 3 Millionen m2 p. a.. Das Investitionsvolumen hierfür beträgt EUR 15 Mio.  

Für die Umwelt
Als erstes Unternehmen der Welt haben wir den Meilenstein von mehr als 10 Millionen Quadratmetern verkaufter Absorberflächen erreicht. Damit tragen wir zu einer CO2 Ersparnis von mehr als 1 Mio. Tonnen pro Jahr bei.

ALANOD® with its worldwide 500 employees and a consolidated turnover of 235 million Euros (2008) is one of the leading technical – and by far – the largest producers of surface refined aluminium and copper strips.

As a full subsidiary of ALANOD, the Alanod-Solar® benefits from over 30 years of experience in the production of surface refined aluminium and copper strips. Thanks to this know-how, Alanod-Solar can dedicate its products to the environmentally friendly solar energy production.
Absorbing or highly reflecting coating systems are selective produced by the air-to-air process in four facilities for vacuum coating (PVD). An existing worldwide distribution network guarantees for specific consultation and support on site. Thereby we offer the closest cooperation to the market for the sales of our different products in the solar fields of application.
The highly selective absorptive coating systems (sun–select®, mirotherm® and mirosol®) that are produced by Alanod-Solar are used for solar thermal applications (flat-plate and tube collectors).  The high reflecting, weather-resistant aluminium strips (MIRO-SUN®) are, for example, used for solar thermal applications for parabolic trough systems (CSP) or concentrated photovoltaic (CPV).

Nowadays, our top quality products are sold, processed and installed by partner companies on all five continents. Alanod-Solar is continuously expanding the worldwide service for the areas of solar absorption and reflection.
The sunselect® production will be relocated from Lauenförde to the companies headquarters in Ennepetal, by the 31st of December 2009 and therefore will be integrated into the facility plant of the Alanod-Solar GmbH & Co. KG.

Within the next days a state-of-the-art Coil-to-Coil lacquering line will be put into operation in a new constructed production hall. The investment volume for this amounts to 15 million Euros.

For the environment
As the first company worldwide we have reached the milestone of having sold absorber space of more than 10 million sqm. In doing so, we contribute to an annual reduction of carbon dioxide of more than 1 million tons.
ALANOD & Alanod-Solar are companies that dispose of an integrated and certified quality and environment management system according to DIN EN ISO 9001: 2000 and 14001: 2005.
